Week 5: Where’s your head at? (The Media & Your Mind)

The session will cover:

  • Encouraging the students to critically analyse unrealistic, inaccurate and negative portrayals of relationships and sex in the media, including pornography
  • Examining the impact of viewing sexualised imagery on the brain
  • The benefits of not watching porn
  • The damaging impact of watching porn on yourself and others
  • Making healthy and positive choices about what we watch and see
  • What the Bible teaches us about pornography and a healthy mind
  • Statistics on the impact of porn and sexualised imagery on the brain
  • Influences and pressure from peers
  • How we can find a sense of value and great self-esteem through what the Bible teaches

Ideal for Year 9 and above.
